Boreal Folk began in 2015 when founders Mark and Raphaëlle converted a trailer into a mobile solar powered formulation studio. They called it the 'Wilderness Lab' and it is where their products were lovingly handcrafted for the first six years in business. It followed the couple by being towed behind their 1967 bus they lived in for many years. They travelled to the heart of the wilderness where they did their best work and thus Boreal Folk was born!
