Boreal Folk is a small-batch skincare company crafting natural products inspired by Canada’s wild landscapes. Our products are made with sustainably gathered botanicals and locally sourced Canadian ingredients, with a growing focus on plants we cultivate ourselves on our farm. We keep our packaging minimal, using recyclable glass and biodegradable materials to reduce our environmental footprint.
Founded by Raphaëlle Gagnon and Mark Coelho, Boreal Folk is rooted in a life lived close to the land. Over the years, we have lived and worked across the traditional territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Stoney Nakoda, and Anishinabeg peoples. Today, we live, farm, and create on our own acreage, where we grow, tend, and restore many of the plants used in our products.
Our work is shaped by direct relationship with the land and a commitment to responsible stewardship. We stand with the earth’s caregivers, land protectors, and water keepers.

Our work is guided by seasonality, slow practices, and traditional plant knowledge. We thoughtfully wildcraft and grow many of our own ingredients, formulating with care to preserve the integrity of each plant and its relationship to the land. Every product is made by hand, in small batches, using simple, purposeful ingredients chosen for their effectiveness and gentleness.
